Therefore we help investors and corporates identify, screen and analyze technology companies to partner with or invest in. Our cutting-edge software platform Catalist helps them and ourselves do this as efficiently as possible, making our clients happy. Venture IQ was founded in Amsterdam in 2015, and has grown to a team of 16 software developers, analysts and consultants. 

Due to growth in our team we are now looking for an organized office manager who can pick up important tasks related to HR, Communication, and finance, helping us run our business smoothly and helping us professionalize our company.

Your role…

This job will suit you perfectly if you are looking for a part time position where you'll have a diverse set of tasks related to HR, finance, organization & admin and communications. We're looking for someone who is structured, has an eye for detail, enjoys working independently and above all is communicative as you'll not only work with our team, but also with potential new candidates. Your set of activities are very diverse, so multitasking comes in handy!

  • HR activities contain writing and posting vacancies, screening applications, planning interviews, preparing employee contracts, checking the hour administration, schedule onboarding days, planning VIQ Academies and team events. 
  • Marketing & communications: we are currently professionalizing our marketing and (internal and external) communications activities. Experience with social media, writing (blogs, website), and video are a nice to have, and there is room to take on responsibilities here.
  • Finance activities; making sure our invoices are sent out every month as well as making sure they are paid.

All in all, this role is not yet set in stone as you will be our first office manager, the exact responsibilities will form along the way. We value independent initiators that proactively add value where possible and pick up new responsibilities where needed. 

Hard requirements

  • Fluent English speaker
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • HBO / University student / graduated: both students and graduates looking for a part time role are welcome to apply
  • Minimum availability of 1 year: we are looking for someone on the long term, so if you are graduating in half a year to start a full time position, this is not the role for you.
